Male players in a women chess event? Indeed. While the participation of Irwanto Sadikin and Edhi Handoko is understandable to boost up the rating average, the inclusion of a low rated male player such as Graham Chua in this event might raise some eyebrows.Nevertheless Sadikin and Handoko played ruthlessly and placed themselves on the top two. The tournament winner, Sadikin, let only two draws and trounced the other nine. The best female player was Evi Lindiawati from Indonesia at fourth.
